Can anyone recommend a Network Assesement tool (software based or hardware based) that can be used for a pre-deployment/post-deployment network assesment for VOIP implimentations?

Thanks.

I use a software package called enterprise planner by Motorola which helps to plan pre-deployments by predicting ap placement based on the types of usage, number of clients and as part of this you can model the environment, walls, fixtures, etc. and the software will actually calculate the RF loss through those objects which will give you a fairly accurate representation of where AP's need to be places. You can also modify antenna types, antenna positions, rf signal strength, channel selections, then run that against coverage types, heat maps, singal to noise, interference etc. and finally print out a full report with a bill of materials (also includes cable run lengths).

If you need more info, feel free to ask.
