I have 2 Magix networked with 6 plain e&m type tie lines, and using centralized VM.

I can dial between locations using UDP,and centralized VM works.

The main Magix has 12 channels for 2 way calling using tie lines (DNIS digits), then 6 channels for networking to other Magix. The remote Magix has only 6 channels used for networking.

Customer want to dial from remote Magix to make LD/local calls using main Magix trunks.

How do I set this up?

Thanks for any help

The very basics to do this require the "OFF SITE" switch to have 9 in the "OTHER DIGITS" part of the ARS Table.

Also, your TIE LINES must be set for remote access in both systems.

It is a rather complex thing to set up, but it does work quite well.

Thanks for the quick answer.

I will add the 9 in the "OTHER DIGITS" of the ARS at remote Merlin with no trunks. The pools for all ARS tables should be 890, the same as UDP

One other thing about remote access in both Magix.

You are talking about going into programing under LinesTrunks = Remote Access = Tie lines = Restriction =
Unrestricted.

What about Non Tie lines Remote Access.

I will try this the first part of the next week.

Thanks

Merlinman Thanks You.

When did you work in Denver?

I worked at NTM Manager (National Technical Marketing) in Parsippany,NJ in 1988-89.

I supported the small business products, was on product team for new a product called Partner 206.

The first Partner I saw was a Merlin Plus Control Unit being turned into a Partner by the Bell Labs folks writing code.
