One day it works fine and next day we have problem.
And when we have problem we just reboot the computer couple time then it works.
We are using windows 98 and our network cabling is just fine.

Thank you in advance

PhatSean,

Which client are you using Novell's or MS. If you are using client32, it would appear that you are getting a connection to the server (client 32 would not come up without a connection). If you are using the MS client verify that you are getting a conection to the server (verify link integrity at the hub and NIC if using ethernet 10baseT/100baseT). Also after pressing OK from the login screen is there any activity from the NIC ?

The fact that after a couple of reboots it works reminds me of a problem we had after adding a new autosensing hub. Our 3Com NIC's were having trouble deceiding which speed to connect at (10MB or 100MB). We had some wiring the was not really CAT5. The NIC's would sense the 100MB hub and attempt to connect to the tree and always fail.
