After we installed Novell's Client for Netware 4.83 on our Win 2k server running BE 8.6 Rev 3878, we've experienced a delay in opening job definitions. When we double click on a job definition it hangs for about 15 seconds before it opens the definition. We uninstalled the Netware client and the job definitions opened immediately and we reinstalled the client and the delay came back. It seems as if the client for Netware causes it probes the network each and every time we click on a job definition.
Has anybody experienced this? Does anybody know how to fix this?
Server specs:
Compaq DL380 2x1.4Ghz Proc
2GB RAM
Teamed Gig E over Cat 6
Client for Netware installed with IP and IPX. (We tried it IP only and the delay was still bad).
Win 2k SP3 with all hotfixes
All Compaq support packs up to date.
