Well here is the scenario,
Trying to restore 3 gig of data from Arcserve 2000 SP 3 server to Netware 5.1 SP3 box. Backed up the data using NWagent and IP fine and fast(400 MB/Min). Well restoring is another story. I only get 6 MB/Min with IP. Arcserve patched to highest levels and virus scanning off.
Knowing that IPX is ussally faster for restores I go to change the agent to IPX and it will not connect. I know I have used IPX in the past to do testing on what worked better IP/IPX. I'm sure I have the internal IPX address right and am using valid full context username/password. Have rebooted both server(And tried 2 other Netware servers and another Arcserve 2000 with no luck), reved down a version of NWagent and I still can not log into the agent using IPX.
I am thinking that one of the recent patches broke IPX since I know that IPX worked mid-January(It is in my logs). Any suggestions?
I know there is a new tech bulletin to speed up IP restores, but I am not yet comfortable shutting off Nagle Algorithm. And I know that IPX worked!!!!
Anyone else have this problem? Or offer any suggestions? Please help.
Regards,
Mike
