Hello everyone, I was hoping that someone could help out. I need to install a WarningDiag.reg to each user's pc. I was hoping to run this thru a Login script on our server. My question is:
1) Can this be done.
2) if so, how?
3) and once this is done, how can I prevent the .req to be reinstalled?

I'm pretty new to this so any help would be greatly appreciated.

i think you could deliver it but it would run everytime

it would be easier to run it through nalexpld or through a policy then you can dictate who gets it and check if they have it etc

do you have zen on - any version will do
3.2 or 4 would be best

I don't think I have zen installed. How can I check if it is installed?

If I don't, is there another option?

Thanks for time in helping me...

if you can create an application you have zen

in console1 or nwadmin pending on version
create a new object - do you get option to create an application

or you will have a zenworks dir - in public - i think

i will need to see if you can run from script - never tried it-

Zenworks is definitely the way to go.

Check and see if there are any files in your SYS:pUBLIC directory related to zenworks. They are NALEXPLD.EXE (Nal Exploder), NAL.EXE (application Launcher), NALDESK.EXE (NAL Desktop).. there are about 6 or 7 files that start with NAL*.*.. NALEXPLD is the main one. None of them will be there if Zenworks is not installed.

If you have more than one server, check all of them becuase it won't necessarily be loaded on all of them.
