Netshield for Netware not updating!!!

I have 6 Netware Servers, and have recently deployed Netshield 4.6.1 to one of them. My problem is that this server is not updating. I have set a task to update a few times a day but nothing. They are still runnning the old version of the dats etc. I have tried using the Netshield Console to set the update from there, and it still fails. I need to get this on all of the Servers, but until this is resolved they will be running Inoculan.

What you have to do is set one of the Netware Servers to pull the updates from the Network Associates FTP site. This Server will then send these updates to all of the other Netware Servers. Here is what you need to do:-

Create an Netshield Update task for the Server you want to access the FTP site.

Right click that task and then select edit.

Click settings

Select provide update to other local servers and download from an FTP site. Also select anonymus FTP login.

Thats all you need to do for the your chosen update Server. Then for all of the other Netware Servers that you have you just need to create a Netshiled Update task and then edit that task. If you click settings then put a tick next to accept update from trusted server and then enter the server name of the Serer that you have configured above.

we did all that you told us (read the NAI manual step-by-step) and the server that is trying to pull the files from the FTP site doesnt seem to be doing so. any out there have any suggestions?

On the server you are updating from McAfee's website you need to make sure it has the ability/rights to FTP. Check firewall.
