I am getting the error message as follows:

No Windows NT Domain controller is available....there are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request.

This has come about because we have switched off one of our servers on our WAN. I have stopped the replication happening from this end but every 15 minutes this error appears in the Event Viewer under Event ID 5719.

Has anyone seen this before and is there something else I should be telling the main server to stop it trying to contact the closed down remote server?

Thanks

Do you have an entry for the downed server in an LMHOSTS file? It may be being preloaded into cache with the #PRE. If so try removing the entry

Hi Yizhar

No I haven't removed it from the trusts as I think that we might need to re-establish the link at some stage. I have heard from another source though that this is probably the cause and the only way to stop the error message is to remove the trusts. Is this right?

Thanks
