NETLOGON Error: Event ID 5774

Hi,
I keep getting this error in my event viewer. Source: Netlogon. Event ID 5774.

Registration of the DNS record '_kpasswd._udp.mkr.dk. 600 IN SRV 0 100 464 exchangemkr.mkr.dk.' failed with the following error:
DNS server unable to interpret format.

I have tried looking it up on

http://www.evenid.net

and looked under ID5774 - I've tried the most of it, and nothing seems to get rid of the problem.

Does anybody know how to get rid of the error?

Do you host secondary domains for other servers or do others host secondary for you?

Hi Tom,
No I setup the W2K server as the only server in the organization. I have access to other pre-2000 domains and can acccess files on these.
But I keep getting several hundreds of these Netlogon errors.

What's wrong?

Do you only point to a windows 2000 DNS server? If not fix that. Dan

I had this problem...you need to add your DNS server to the DNS properties of TCP/IP. That'll clear all of those up.
