I have an IP500V2 on 6.0.14 and a Netgear FVS318V3

The VPN phone (9650 or 9620) does make a VPN to the router but that is it.
It keeps on discovering.
I have an iproute in the ipo to the router.
I am trying it for a couple of days now and i cannot find it.

IPO = 192.168.1.100
Router = 192.168.1.2

I tried static routes in the router.
I tried services (ports from 1500 till 55000)
I tried different virtual ip addresses.

It just does not want to see the ipo.
Anyone an idea ?

Yeh yeh :)

So the 46 and 56 series do work but the 96 series do not work this way :)

Still playing with the settings :)

Have the 9620 running too but no sound while the 4621 does have sound.

The 9620 needs to be setup in a different ip range so it needs routing :)

Also the 4621 looses the connection after a couple of minutes :)

I think i trow the towel with that piece of junk :)

Running a 336Gv2 now and works like a charm.
Hopefully this will also be the case at the customer :)

Also a 9600 serie phone is setup within minutes if you follow the docs for the 338 which is been replaced by the 336.

@ tlpeter

" Also a 9600 serie phone is setup within minutes if you follow the docs for the 338 "

You mean 5610 and Netgear FVS338 doc ?

No I mean a 9600 on a 336v2 but the 336v2 is the replacement for the 338.

Use the manual and the mode config option :)
set the VPN up after you have set the WAN interface.
I didn't and the phone refused to build the tunnel :)

Hi tlpeter,

I have the same problem with a Netgear FVX538v2 router. How did you get yours working?

The phone builds the tunnel but sticks on dicovering the the IP address of the IPO

I have a Netgear client on my laptop, this also builds a tunnel but I cannot ping the router itself, the IPO or the DHCP server!!!

Any help would be great I have been battling with this since before Christmas!

Do you have an iproute in the ipo to the mode config iprange?
You should have it otherwise you cannot get it working.

It should look liek this:

172.16.22.0
255.255.255.0
192.168.42.254
Lan1

The 192.168.42.254 is an example, it should be the gateway so that the traffic to 172.16.22.0 is routed properly.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!
