I have an IP500V2 on 6.0.14 and a Netgear FVS318V3

The VPN phone (9650 or 9620) does make a VPN to the router but that is it.
It keeps on discovering.
I have an iproute in the ipo to the router.
I am trying it for a couple of days now and i cannot find it.

IPO = 192.168.1.100
Router = 192.168.1.2

I tried static routes in the router.
I tried services (ports from 1500 till 55000)
I tried different virtual ip addresses.

It just does not want to see the ipo.
Anyone an idea ?

Anyone ?

I have changed about everything.

I forgot to mention that when the phone is connected i see "INVALID_PAYLOAD_TYPE" in the log.

I have seen a topic about this router and there was firmware release which solved this issue (3.23) but i am running the newest firmware (3.26)

If you install an additional router and setup a gateway - to - gateway vpn does the vpn extablish between the routers?
If so, can you successfully browse the LAN of the opposite router across the vpn?
If yes to above, next set-up the IP phone on the far end lan behind the firewall and make sure that you program your ip phone with the correct entries so it can find the ipoffice on the other end.
This sounds like its an issue with the ip phone and the router not allowing access to the lan to connect to the ipoffice.
Lets start with the basisc. If you install the ip phone on the same lan as the ipoffice, does it work?

Hi Rodney,

I do not have an additional router so i can't try.
From the router i can ping the ipo but i can't ping the phone when it has the vpn connection.

The IP phone has the right settings and works on the lan (i have another IP phone running on it)

peter,

how about use an IPSEC client from a PC and see if that connects? looks like netgear offer one from their prosafe range.

try that.

what about using different profiles?

Tried different profiles.
I cannot seem to connect with the prosafe client.
I think it needs a different setup for that.

Done that already.
I am going on site in a while and I will pull every thing that is attached to it. Then I will start all over again.

I need it.
I really do not understand that i cannot even ping the device while i have a vpn connection with it :)
