I've got a problem I can't solve, when I start my server I get this error "Memory Error press any key", then the server is find exept, it seem's to be slower. I ran the system diagnostic programs and it did'nt find anything, I changed my memory modules with no success.

If someone as an idear about this problem and could help me it would be
appreciated.

Sounds like you had 3 unsuccessful boots. The Netfinity 5500 automatically disables processor caches in this circumstance, which, as you've already noticed, severely impacts performance. You can re-enable the caches via CMOS (F1).

The cache isn't disable I tried to disable it and re-enable it but it did'nt work I also tried to switch from Write-back cache to write-through cache, I still haved the same problem at startup.

Yes, I save my settings.

When I say performance decreased, it did'nt decrease as much it would with the cache disable.

Check to see if one of the dimm slots was disabled. If it is,then diagnostics won't see it nor will it test it...in cmos you can re-enable the slot, but if there is an error it will disable the slot again till you change the dimm and re-enable the dimm....

No dimm slots(memory bank) where disable.

I tried to disable one at a time and re-starting server each time just to see if it would make a difference but it's not.

Do you think it could be the processor motherboard that be defective.
