Netbios Name Ping Fails

Pinging a Netware 5.0 Server on IP adress works fine, pinging on Netbios Name (NWSERVER5) fails: no respond. The Netware Server is in a NT Domain, same subnetmask (255.255.255.0)an dit's IP Adress is withing the range. The Novell Network Environment is visible in Network Neighbourhood on Win NT Server, not on Workstations (NT and Win9x). Pinging from workstations works fine but not on Netbios name. Installed Gateway Services for Netware but the NT Server can't find the networpath to the Novell Server (NT with service pack 4)
Anybody an good idea to solve this problem?

NetWare Netbios,

Have you added a static listing for the netware server in your lmhosts file on your WINS server. In order for your workstations to resolve the netware server by its netbios name, it must be defined in the WINS Server.

You can also add a line to the HOSTS file on the workstation.
