I know there is a way to see what mac addresses are going to a particular port by using the SHOW MAC command on a Cisco 3500 switch, but is there a way to show the NETBIOS names of the workstations that those MAC addresses go with? If I cant find the NETBIOS names for the workstations, is there a command to show the IP addresses that are being assigned to the ports (workstations)?

Yes on the IP's.

Log into the router for that VLAN / Switch and look at the arp table. You can compare mac's and find your IP that way. If you use a self registering DNS or WINS you may have some luck finding the workstation name that way as well.

We have a CAT 6000 setup as our internal router and i am alittle sketchy on the configuration at the moment. I will have to take a look at it and see what I can find.
Thanks for the help
