Does anyone know for sure whether tapes created from a Netbackup/Solaris environment are compatible/readable with Netbackup running on NT?

Can one import such tapes? Can you do a bprecover with a catalog created from a Solaris/Netbackup environment to a NT/Netbackup environment?

I think to remember that NBU writes all tapes in TAR format so you should be able to read them on any platform (using NBU)

I think johnny is in the rigth way. I haven´t work with Solaris, but I have tried to import tapes from one Linux server in one Windows 2000 Server, and it work OK. I did it with DataCenter 3.4.1

I have attempted just that.
Unfortunately, I was unable to achieve this.
I was able to gain list of catalogue, but unable
import logs.

The installation of netbackup was confirmed to be working by performing a backup and re-store of my local server c:\ drive.

Good luck..
