Netbackup Client Service is shutting down..leading to a hung server

We are using Netbackup client 3.4.1
This a two node FTP cluster.
When the server is hung you see a clear blue desktop screen with no icons, and the mouse arrow (which can be moved). Looking through the event logs shows the error "NetBackup Client Service is shutting down" occuring just before the server hangs.
Any ideas?

and follow the NBU track to the download site. Download and install the 776 patch. If you continue to get this problem, call or Email VERITAS for a patch.
