hello guys

Could you shed some light on how you go about doing your master checklist without the use of opscentre which cost an extra symantec fee

we normally export the client list and then update this against the list of deactivated policies and then run through this marking scheduled or unscheduled aginst our weekly or period end backups

but this is very time consuming and sore on the eyes and i was wondering if there is any other way of doing this so that your master checklist of failures and success can be kept up to date

if anyone has some spare time could you let me know your thoughts on ths please

many thanks

garymaule,

Are you basically just looking for a script to report on successful, unsuccessful, and missed backups?

What OS are you running on your master and media servers?

Thanks,

John

Are you just trying to identify failures and remediate them? Activity monitor should be good for that. It normally has the last 72 hours of jobs in it.
