Unfortunately support is not in question, or even a concern of others. STK has told others within the group that ACSLS 7.* will work with NBU 3.4. My comments were along the lines of.. "Give me somewhere to test this, and I will let you know" all I got was a laugh.. =P
Needless to say, this adds to my feelings regarding our "Architects" behind this disaster.
Yes I think it is. ACSLS 6.x is not compatable with NB 5.x+ but I think 7.x is ok with 3.4 cause we were going to do that scenerio (a NB 3.4 and 5.1 system in the same silo) and I'm sure STK told us that was the only way to do it; however, in the end we didn't need to )
ACSLS 6.1.1 is in fact compatible with 5.x I am currently running it without any issues. Although ACSLS 6.1.1 is no longer supported through SUN software support.
If SUN told you it would work then I would venture to say it is likely compatible. PLEASE NOTE: Get this in writing from SUN before you proceed in an email form so that it's not a case of "We don't remember that conversation?". Also if you are currently running ACSLS 6.x remember that you have to upgrade the Solaris OS that ACSLS is running on to version 9 before you can perform an ACSLS upgrade. Just a thought!
