Just wondering if anyone has backed up a NetApp Fas250 with Commvault and if so, how do you get around the fact that it doesn't seem to list a Storage Policy to choose from? I am able to create the client ok in Commvault and from their can go into content and browse the filer and select what I want backed up, however, the Storage policy dropdown is blank.

Does a special NDMP storage policy need to be created? I tried to make a brand new storage policy to get just the Fas250 unit since it didn't seem to like the standard Windows storage policies I have set up, however, even after creating a new Storage Policy it never showed up on the fas client Data Storage Policy \Storage Policy dropdown list and if I try to launch a backup, it just tells me I need to select a storage policy from a blank dropdown.

Hope this helps. The online docs had this other part for NDMP setup, but this seemed way too extensive just to be able to back up this filer so I can't imagine I have to do everyhing listed in this doc:

You need to have a license for NDMP Remote Server if you want to use a standard Windows Storage Policy; if want to make NDMP backups (tape devices and library controller are accesible by the filer) you need a new Storage Policy.
