I am trying to map a win2000 server to an NT server. I have no problem doing this via the GUI. I set the drive, put in the path, change the user I want to login as and there it is. When I try from the command line I get :
System error 1326 has occured.
Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.

The syntax I used was:
net use s: \\servername\share /user:domainname\user password:pwd

I also tried with the password:* option to see if I had the wrong password and have the system prompt me for one, but that did not work either.
I double checked the path, the user information and password. I had other admins check the syntax as well.

Any ideas?

Thanks

try this command

net use s: \\servername\share /user:domainname\user *

it should prompt you for a password

you can change the * with the password to prevent from prompting the password.
