Hello,

After booting up to windows 7 auto login
i insert a batch file in start up for mapped drives, since every time windows 7 boot up, all the mapped drive lost connections, regardless if i enter them in credential manager.
It is strange that, the first line of net use would not get executed
2nd lines and after works perfectly.
Tried delay by up to 10 seconds made no different.

anyone experience this ?
thanks

That's weird. Doesn't make sense. Have you tried putting the first in line twice to see if it is really the first line being ignored or something wrong with the first line? If it ignores the first two identical lines, then there's somethign weird going on.

Have you got an invisible control character that is taking the line out? Open the file in notepad and save it as ASCII.

Using the local group policies might work better or perhaps a registry entry....?

Thanks to all responds

I should include some more detail, this is a system with SSD drive
boot up is very fast, instead of having a login screen, i had this go directly into windows
so there is a delay for the network adapter to load up.

i had tried
set delay=8
ping localhost -n %delay%

somehow first line net use get skipped
i will try repeat the line, i will also look into policy
i tried host file as well
