Hi

I have WInxp sp2 and am trying to share a folder in VB.

I used the commandline as follows:
Shell "Net Share Net=C:\Net" and it does share the folder.

The problem is that when I try and access this folder I get an error "Net is not accessible. YOu Might not have permission to use this resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions."

Is there a way that I can share a folder in XP and access it from a remote computer without getting an error

Hi,

I think in Win XP SP2 you need to enable 'Share files and folders' somewhere in your conection configuration in the remote computer

I´m at work, we have Win2000 (yet), I can´t check exactly where to do this,

hope this helps

the stange thing is if i share the folder in Explorer or My Computer then I can access the folder from a remote computer, but if I use Net share it does not work correctly
