I can send and receive net send messages via the command prompt. One of my users on my domain can send, but cannot receive. The user's terminal services is running. What may be some of the issues that affect the user from receiving?

...and Messenger service is set for automatic

...probably also Automatic on the receiving machine, so... it's not running, and obviously can't hear you(r) cry. Have it start explicitly and all should be Ok.

Some pop-up blockers will prevent Messenger Service messages.

thanks for all the insight. Problem was resolved when I disabled XP firewall.
