i'm looking for tips on net send@ the comand prompt. How do you view the net send log? There is a way to lock your self out of the log so you messages can't be viewed and other fun stuff. Ideas?

I don't believe there is a log of messages sent via net send. It's simply a method of sending pop-up messages. I could be wrong of course....

One thing to consider: One of the more popular workstation optimizations is to turn off the messenger service on the workstations. This renders them incabable of receiving net send messages. Something to think about.
Jeff
masterracker@hotmail.com

Of all the things I've lost in life, I miss my mind the most ...

Don't do what I did (duh!).

I set the permissions for the net command so that only a Domain Admin could use it.... Ha!

Suddenly, a whole load of Net Use type commands failed.

Doh! [sig][/sig]

Try this tool for NET SEND across the network ..
As for the log - not heard of one unless u are using a server to send the msg? Standard workstation - its just a simple popup.
Hope somehow somewhere this has helped someone.
