After this last patch Tuesday, I have the two .NET patches not registering as installed, even though they are listed as installed in the history and show up in the uninstall dialog. They are:
Code:
2011-04-12 Security Update for .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 and 3.5 SP1 on Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP x86 (KB2446704)
Security Bulletins: MS11-028
----------------------------------------------------------------
2011-04-12 Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 on Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 x86 (KB2446708)
Security Bulletins: MS11-028

Any ideas on what to do to fix this?

To clarify, by "not registering as installed", I mean auto updates keep bugging me to install them.

Equal situation with me.
Try to follow your suggestion BadBigBen, but no success.
Succeed to uninstall Security Update for .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 and 3.5 SP1 on Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP x86 (KB2446704 v2), then dloaded and manually installed this Update , ( other one Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 and 3.5 SP1 on Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP x86 (KB2418241) was installed on 10.10.2010 - not now) I didn't remove, but after run Windows Updater - those two Updates were shown as not installed, although in Update history were confirmed as "successful" .
Don't know what I can do now to fix this.

Sorry, one modification for my above post -"Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 and 3.5 SP1 on Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP x86 (KB2418241)" - installed on 14.10.10 and not on 10.10.2010.

First link 403's (319109).

No success on uninstalling, manual, letting Windows Update do it, let automatic updates do it, etc.

System does not allow "hiding" the updates mentioned.

see if this is of help:

You receive error 0x643, error code 0x80070643 or updates may be re-offered when you try to install .NET Framework updates when using Windows Update or Microsoft Updates

How to ask a question, when posting them to a professional forum.
Only ask questions with yes/no answers if you want "yes" or "no"

Windows Update Already Installed

"Go to Windows update page, select "Custom install", and put a checkmark into "Hide this update" box, below the update, you don't wish to install:"

Solved: How do you hide a Windows Update?

How can I activate the "hide update" facility in Windows/Microsoft update

Got my issue fixed in the usual way with Windows. Nuke it from orbit and replace it. After all, it's the only way to be sure.
