Net logon service won't start

The net logon service on my BDC is set to automatic, but won't start - tried to start it manually, but it returns error 0005 access is denied. Help appreciated as this is an urgent one.

Two things to check right away, what account deos the net logon service start with. I thik it should be the system account. Also you can delete it's computer account from the PDC and add it again. then try. Before you do this perhaps you could post the entire test of the message that should be logged in the event viewer.

Many thanks - but sussed it. For future reference for anyone else in this position. Open Server Manager on the PCD select the server that netlogon service won't start on, then synchronise. The PDC will then start the netlogon service on the other machine.
