I cant find any solutions to this anywhere - Microsoft mentions it but thats it! It occurs when I log a new NT Workstation onto Domain. anyone know how to xlear this? Its not to do with User Rights or NTFS Security.

The whole error reads"An error occured while saving your profile. The state of your remembered connections has not changed"

Can you give a few more details please. You say log new workstation onto domain. Do you mean joining the domain for the first time? Or already joined, and logging on for the first time? If second, who are you logging on as? Is this user logged on elsewhere?

Workstation joins the domain no problem so its when logging on the domain and then the ntlogin script run. the error appears in this window but only when logging on with the administrator account!

same problem occurs now if I log any machine on with the administrator account

Obvious question - what's in the login script?

Netlogon to mapped network drives - thats it!

Sorry don't understand last post - do you mean

net use x: \\server\sharename
net use x: /home

Are you logging on with Administrator (network logon, domain admin) or Adminstrator (local logon, local admin).

Quite simple really:

Net Use F: \\Tondatasvr\users /Persistent:No /Yes
Net Use I: \\TonDataSvr\Sys /Persistent:No /Yes
Net Use H: \\TonDataSvr\NTCommon /Persistent:No /Yes
Net Use N: \\TonCommSvr\CommsSys /Persistent:No /Yes
Net Use U: \\TonDataSvr\Entprse /Persistent:No /Yes

Anyhow thats just an example. I have solved the problem now. Basically the PDC's admin profile (not account) became corrupted and also the default user file somehow dissapeared so when a new admin profile folder was attempted for creation there was no default user folder to provide the necessary data. i fixed this by copying the default user folder from the BDC to the PDC then logged off and on again. Voila new admin profile folder created - job done
