I need help please. I have no experience with handhelds or Windows CE.

I have an iPAQ on which I am trying to run a .net mobile device program written by our company. It was working fine. I need to install the pgm on a customer's iPAQ because their battery died and when they replaced it, and they lost their copy of the pgm. I was trying to figure out how to install the .NET compact framework on the device. I found three .NET files in the windows directory. I moved them temporarily to see if they were indeed the files I would need to put in the customer's windows directory. The program didn't work of course, so I put the files back in the windows directory. Now the program won't run at all. The files I moved were:

Microsoft .NET CF 1.0 ENU-String Resource
Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 1.0 GAC
Microsoft .NET Compact Framework

Can someone please tell me how to get the pgm running again on my iPAQ, and what I need to install on the customer's in order to run our .NET program.

Any help would be appreciated. I'm desperate.

I should also mention that I downloaded NETCFSetup.msi but I can't seem to figure out how to install it on the actual iPAQ.

I would download the lateest version of the .Net CF and install. Do not kow how much harm was caused by moving those files. Go ahead and try installing the update and see if that works. After you install the update, you might try re-installing the program that you are trying to use.

In your second post, you need to sync the iPaq to a computer and install the framework that way.

Let me know if you need more help.
