Hiya folks, how's it going? Have a question here, if sommeone has a .biz or .net website, can they sell products on their website??

I have a client who wants to sell tickets to their events online, and their concerned if a .net or a .biz will allow them. I know that a .gov or .org is not allowed, but i'm not sure on .biz and .net accounts.

Thanks.

An individual cannot own a .gov domain.

With any domain, one can do anything they wish (within legal constrainst, of course) including seeling items. There is no prohibition against selling on .org domains.

The original domain designations had a logic, .net was basically for Internet Service Providers, .org was for non-profits and organizations, and .com was for commercial. However there never was any restriction against using any for another purpose.

When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
