Folks,

What I'm looking for sounds simple, but after reading manuals and web forums I still can't figure it out. What I want to do is just do a traffic study on my analog COT's and DIDs. I'm an MSL-100 guy and can't figure this CS1000 out, not just familiar enough with the terminology. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Go to LD 2

Set Traffic Options to collect TFC002 (Trunks)

.SOPC 0 2

Set Traffic Schedules

.SSHC 0 1 1 31 12
1 2 3 4 5 6 7
0 23 1

Go to LD 17

Set a TTY so that it has USER TRF

Make sure that TTY has a PC connected to it so you can capture the 24 reports per day.

Let's say you just wanted "one report per day" that was for a the whole 24 hour period. If so, set schedules like this:

.SSHC 0 1 1 31 12
1 2 3 4 5 6 7
23 23 1

Thank you so much for the reply. This is a remote site that is about 2 hours from my location and the only thing hooked up to it currently is a terminal. Can I just go in every hour and read the reports? I have a pc here that I remote in with and I might be able to caputure through it..not sure. I remote in through NetPlus 6. What is the command I would use if I wanted to manually check the reports instead of trying to capture them? Again...thank you for your response.

I would rather go the "24 hour report" What command do I use to look at that?

Alright...looks like I'm headed in right direction, but I don't know what all the numbers mean. I know the first set is the Route and the Trunk and below that is how many I have, but beyond that...I don't know how to read the other numbers? Help please.

If you want to collect once a day, you use this:

Go to LD 2

Set Traffic Options to collect TFC002 (Trunks)

.SOPC 0 2

Set Traffic Schedules

.SSHC 0 1 1 31 12
1 2 3 4 5 6 7
23 23 1

Then every day, log in - go to LD 2 and do this:

.INVC 0 2

The trunk traffic for the previous period will come out.

It's easy to find and pay someone else to do it, but that is not what this forum is for. We're here to help you do it for free.

Translate the numbers using this converter (on the TFC002 tab) http://www.ghtrout.com/files/Traffic_Calculator_for_TFC001-2-3-4.zip

Thank you two so very much. You just made my life a whole lot easier. GHTrout...thank you so much for your help. Bhassell..thank you for your response also!!!

Just one more thing...Does this report overwrite itself every day at midnight or is it 24 from the time the report started? Thanks again guys.

It is overwritten. The settings below say "output the traffic at 2300 hours each night" - so every day, the INVC 0 2 command obtains the previous days report.

.SSHC 0 1 1 31 12
1 2 3 4 5 6 7
23 23 1

It is possible to create a traffic History file, but it can only hold 64k of data
