i need to unmap these extenstions on my IIS server but can't figure out where to do it.
thanks.

You can unmap .shtml in IIS6 under the Configuration page within the web server config.
1. Open IIS Manager
2. Right Click Web Sites, choose Properties
3. Choose the Home Directory tab.
4. Click on the button marked Configuration.

Application extensions are all defined here. Although I did not notice a mapping for .printer, .shtml is mapped here.

mine did have a .printer mapping, which showed up as a security threat.
