I currently have AA on for day service and night service. I need to turn it off for day service. The system is simply too unreliable. We have many complaints from customers that cannot get through to us.

Can anyone guide me through the steps needed to do turn off AA during the day and just have night service active?

Thanks in advance,
BDZ

What kind of voice mail do u have?

P.S. For the best response to a question, read FAQ222-2244. Also give the type & version of your voice mail & pbx & preview your post to make sure it is complete & understandable. Please answer all questions so that I may have the info to assist you. Leaving a post on how you fixed the problem will also be appreciated.

So sorry, I have a Merlin Legend Voice Messaging System Release 3. Our main console is an MLX-20L with phones MLX-10DP and old BIS-22's.

Thanks,BDZ

You'll need to determine how your system is currently set up.

Most likely, the lines (or more likely pools) are assigned directly to the Voice Mail calling group. You would UN-assign them there, and then send them to VM through Night Service.

Look in Extensions - More - Group Calling - Lines/Trunks - (Voice Mail calling group number) - Inspect, and see if the lines or pools are assigned there. If so, back up go again to Lines/Trunks and enter the lines or pools and press Delete.

Then under Night Service, (and I forget the steps without a system in front of me, but it should be pretty intuitive), have your Operator control the lines and set the Voice Mail calling group as the Night Service receiver.

Thanks so much for the reply. I tried to delete the pool - but AA still picks up the calls. I'd like a little button I press that turns it off;)

Any other words of wisdom will be GREATLY appreciated.

I think someone needs to dial in and see how it's set up.

Are you willing to do that? Actually, it would be great if someone is willing to see if our problems can be fixed. Please let me know how to contact you, if you are willing.

Thanks,

Other posts have my email, mostly encoded 'cause the webmasters don't want us to use real emails.

If you can't find with a search, I can send you the coded address.

It may require a charge, but maybe not......
