Need to swap IP over

we have just taken over the maintenance of a NCP 500 and need to replace a fault IP handset on the system and just need to know the best way to do this so that the new handset keeps all the setting for the old phone?

i think you need to de register the handset and plug in the new phone, when plugged in re register the user to the new handset.

in configuration VOIP Property, check what IP Terminal registration Mode that the system is in - im sure if it is manual then you can do the above
