I have a report that prints route stops. I have it sorted by routes so that each route starts on a new page. What I would like to do is also have my page # start from "1" again on that new Route page.

I use the following: ="Page " & [Page] & " of " & [Pages]
to display page 1 of 8 etc...

If the first route is 4 pages I want it to display 1 of 4 etc... then start at 1 of 4 or whatever it is for the next route.

I saw a thread on this a while ago, maybe somebody can point me in that direction. Thank you in advance.

I don't know how to make the total number of pages reset, but you can use this method to reset the page number for each group:

Make this macro: Action is Setvalue, Item is [Page] and Expression is 0.

Put the page numbering in the Page Header: =[Page].

Set the ForceNewPage property of the Group Header to Before Section and attach the macro to the On Format event of the Group Footer.

That's real close. Now how would I set it for the following expression: ="Page " & [Page] & " of " & [Pages]

The way you showed me resets the page number, but still says the total number of [Pages]
