I am running a definity one ( yea I know it sucks) CM 9.5.
I have recently switched from a T-1 to a PRI. I now can not get my calls to forward to my cell phone. I called the provider and they are telling me that I need to send out my main number on all calls or my DID number. I can make and take calls fine from my desk phone but as soon as I forward it it will not work I just get a fast busy. I trace my station and I just get an ISDN reject. My provider says they can see the number that is calling my DID getting passed along as the outgoing calling number. Is there away not to sent the number that is calling? I just want to send my main number out on a forwarded call even if it is forwarded...

Thank you in advance

Stillyman

My provider strips the original calling party number and inserts my Billing TFN instead of rejecting it. They claim they lose the ability to maintain billing records if they allow me to pass my original calling party number. It's annoying as heck!

I hope you find a fix.

I ran into something simular if the call came in then attempt to go out the same trunk they would block it because of possible Fraud. An adjustment to the outgoing route patter corrected this issue.

Thank you PJ6332. To do this request I will have to change my trunk type to CBC. As of right now I have it set up for public network. I will change it and let you know how it plays out.

Thanks again.

Well this didn't work. But thank you anyway! Does anyone else have any ideas?? Please let me know.

Verizon has a feature called "customer request to modify calling party number" Rouging code: 5V. This will allow you to send any number you want out. Not sure who your LEC is, but I'm sure they have something similar. Contact your sales department.

change tandem-calling-party-num

and enable modify tandem number field on the trunk groups.

Take Care

Matt
I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.
