Need To Search For Embedded Comma To Separate Last,First Names 1

I need the function to look for an embedded comma in a name field (Smith, Joe) so I can print the name as Joe Smith. I can handle the substr()ing and concatenation, I just don't know the function to determine in which position the comma occurs. Thanks.
