I have an application that spawns 20 different instances of a process...all with the same name.

I am trying to do some trending on the processes..specifically what the memory utilization has been for each of the 20 processes over a period of a
week.

How can I do this or is this even prossible?

All 20 processes show up in the task manager under the processes tab and they each have a unique SPID.

Any help would be mucho appreciated.

several 3rd party products can help you, specifically check out Solarwinds Engineers toolkit. It can graph that for you as well as do a million other things.

I believe they have a free demo download of the toolkit to try it out.

Hmmm.
I just took a look at the solarwinds engineer toolset software and this is more to do with networking and snmp stuff. Did not see anything related to windows processes etc...

Even the standard task manager can do this for you. Say you start the application and it fires off the 20 threads. You can open task manager and select View->Select Columns, select all memory and paging options. From there, sort on image name (in the processes tab) and take a snapshot of the server when the app has first started. From there check again after a week.
If you want to use something more robust you can also use the Sysinternals tools now avail through MS.

ok...sysinternals have a few useful tools I can work with..
Thanks for the help itsp1965
