Hello all. I'm completely new to the Cisco IP phones and our company is purchasing a large auto dealership next month. They're currently using a Cisco CallManager located off-site that is not on our asset list - we're only acquiring the phones. I'm looking at the Cisco 2821 Voice Bundle (CISCO2821-CCME/K9) which includes a 48-phone license. Is this the way to go? I know I need to also get a VIWC-1MFT-T1 WIC and a NM-1CE1T1-PRI network module. With only the phones, do I need anything else? Anyone know of a better setup?

Thanks in advance,
Bobby

It sounds like you are looking at a call manager express to replace a call manager. Depending on the users going from call manager to the express version it is a downgrade.
I would look into a call manager business edition instead which will also give you a voice mail with it and it is a full blown call manager and voice mail all in one platform. You will still need the gateway above to terminate your wan links.

Otherwise the CME above will do.

Thanks whykap - voice mail is a must, so I'll look into the CallManager Business edition.

Thanks,
Bobby

Voice mail is also available in the CME as an add on to the router so even with express you can do it.
i still recommend you look into the business edition however
