I am importing domain names from a text file and want to find a quicker way to hyperlink each of them. Currently I am manually doing them. I have over 100,000 to do...so if someone could help that would be great!! Thanks!

Are they 100,000 DIFFERENT links? If so, I don't think there's much you can do unless you open them up in something other then a text editor.

Ok....so what editor can I open them up in? I'm willing to do anything...right now I am in Word hitting the hyperlink button and then the down arrow....

Yes, they are all different links....

We did something in Excel...but can't get them to export correctly....

Use asp, php, coldfusion. Populate as many pages as you like by calling these from a database, even a comma or tab delimeted text file would work. DeZiner

Ok...could you explaine a little more? I don't know much about asp....or the other two types....

I have used .asp before...but very little...

THANKS!!!!! =)

If the domain name's are completely formed in the word document (having at least then if you put a hard return in after the domain name it should automatically create the hyperlink.

hi

i want to do a hyperlinks form a page to another one.

i wrote "javascrip" to put a "countdown" but i don't know how to write "target=_blank" that open a new windows in javascrip.

so please help me and thanks

Before you try this, always make a backup copy. You never know what may happen when converting files.

If you're using MS WinWord
1. Open the text file.
2. Use "Ctrl H" to open the Find/Replace Dialog Box.
3. Type .com (or whatever the last characters are for the web address ie: .html ) in the Find What box.
4. Type .com, (or whatever the last characters are for the web address plus a comma ie: .html, ) in the Replace With box.
5. Then you can use the Replace button or the Replace All button.
6. Once the replacement is done, Word will automatically convert the Web Addresses into a HyperLink. It may take a few minutes for it to accomplish this, based on the computer you're using.

Hope this helps. Ande
