Need to Load a 653MG file onto Oracle 8i

I have a flat file which will be used to query for match
with smaller files. I need to load this file into Oracle
environment Oracle 8i. I have tried to use SQL Loader with
some large test files but SQLLDR seems to have a limit well
under a Meg in size. I have changed the readsize and
Bindsize allocations but was not able to clearly load complete file. Are there any tricks to using SQLLDR or
is it even possible to load such a file in Oracle?

We load ASCII txt files up to 20 meg all the time, with default values for readsize, etc. There is no size limit on sqlldr that I'm aware of. maybe your target table is running into space limitations
