I have to add a analog extension to an 8411 station phone

when i do a list extension I have a extension in the switch identified as a data-extension xxxx (analog port) no matter what I try, I cannot get this extension to display....can you give me the correct command to view this station

thanks

you have to display the 8411 extension. on the 1st page, set data ext type to "analog". a 5th page then pops up, this is where you add or see the analog extension.

List data does show the data modules but will not let you open the sdevice when you click on it

yes i opened the 8411 extension and it does show analog as you state and the 5th page also shows the analog adjunct /extension assignment

this was all set up prior to my employment here. it worked before and he moved offices not it does no work. Im going to sound dumb here but is there wiring involved with this type of set up or is the analog extension connected in software to the physical extesnion of the 8411 station

thank you for all the help and guidance

the 8411D needs external power in order for the analog port to work. maybe you diodn't move the power supply?

I just remembered something. Avaya no longer supplies the 8 pin line cords. You will need to use that line cord or the power will never reach the unit..
