Hi,

We've got an Analogue phone that needs to work on a Digital Meridian system.

The closest thing I can find to do this is a Konexx Konference which I can't seem to source anywhere in Europe.

Is there something else I can possibly buy?

Thanks

Ray

which meridian system is it. there are as many adapters as system types.. if your not sure post the nt number from the bottom of the set

Hi,

Aparently it's a Meridian One PBX does this help?

Thanks

Ray

the merridian sl1 uses analog cards for analog dial tone. they also sell an analog adapter that works off of the phone and programs on the softport for that set.. best to add an analog card OR

ld 20
luvu
500

you may have spare ports in the switch

The way I see people use the term (Meridian One PBX) it doesn't really mean anything. I've seen the Norstar key system called a Meridian 1 PBX.

Somewhere on the Box there should be a Model number.

is it a small box on the wall?
is it a large box on the floor about 6 ft high?

"Aparently it's a Meridian One PBX does this help?"

Most likely it would be a Norstar, only because thats the system most end users know of as a digital system, the PBX can handle an analog phone so easily i wouldn't think someone needs to ask about it.

If it is a Norstar they have ATA or ATA2 analog adapters to use.

Hi,

Waiting for the guys to run the commands you've mentioned.

The number we got off the bottom of it is
NTDK91BA

Hope this helps!

Ray

Thats an option 11 cabinet then.

DO you just need to run an analog phone and not sure how to program the analog port or do you not have any analog cards and are wanting to use to analog set with a digital card?

Hi,

Thanks for the help so far.

I've not used this system and don't have any knowledge of it, we've got a guy out there that does no how to log on to the system though.

Basically, We've got an office with the system and a Polycom phone that's Analogue. All the phones are digital that the people are using.

I thought the easiest would be simply to get an adaptor, but, if you can give me the commands to check if there's any anlogue ports and the commands needed to confgure the port to a Analogue one that would fantastic.

Earlier on johnpoole mentioned
ld 20
luvu
500

Is that the commands needed?

Cheers

Ray

Yes those are the commands in ld 20 but documented in ld 10.

REQ> luvu
TYPE> 500

This will list any available TN's for analog. If you have those then you can either copy an existing 500 port or build a new one, no adapter needed.

in that case you do nt need an analog adapter
as you do have free analog TN (terminal Number)
1- you need to find out the Jack number where you are going to install the analog phone (let us say blue jack number 1122)
2- select for example TN 003 0 00 06
login to meridian 1
find out the extension # you would like to give to this phone by going to ld 20, and requesting an preview of availble unused DN (extension in the selecetd rang in this example it start with 4)

4100 4107 4144 4146 4147 4162 4163
so let us say tyou selected 4099
so now you can program the phone on your analog Card number 3

But, it didn’t work. No tone in the phone….

I checked with the fax machine port (some creative temporary reconnections in the switch panels) and that worked ok with the conference phone.

I also believe that there is more analogue lines used previously that has just been disconnected – maybe one of those would be ok?

For the records, the “blue jack nr 1122” is actually “AB 00 01 13” here, and we would could use extension nr 9989 for the conference phone.

it looks like th ephone was built okay, if it is not working now I think you should check the physical connections to ensure the correct TN is jumpered to the correct MDF/IDF ports.

You are also having an issue with DCH 14.
