Is BARS/NARS required for do this? Any suggestions?

1. Program a new Trunk Route Auto Terminate YES (ld 16)
2. find a open trunk port program a trunk (ld 14)at ATDN enter the number appear in the 3904 set that you create.

Check your Features Guide and look up Private Line Service. I think this is what you need. It will show you how to program.

Hope this helps.

John

Do you just need that COT to ring on that DN or do you also need to make out going calls on it to. And no you don't need NARS/BARS to make it work.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

9201,

I've tried the combination of ld 14 and 16 but was not successfuly in achieveing the intended result.

Janaya,

I have also tried Private line service and had the same result.

Acewarlock,

I'm trying to extend the copper line to the set. Both incoming and outbound dialing will be required. Hope that paints the picture better.

Thanks.

Look in 553-3001-306 book 3 of features Guide for Private line service.
The best way to learn it to try doing it from the NTP's

1. LD 16 Creat a new RDB

2. LD 14 Creat a Trunk for the privat line

3. Add the Privat line to a Digital phone Key with PVTxxxx

pbxnewman, what result were you getting? (when you posted at 10_Jun_2008_15:30)

Do you know how to build a route and a trunk and cross connect the trunk to the trunk card? Either way, let us know so we know where to start you.

Sorry guys, I figured out what was wrong. The 25 pair from the cross-connect to the PBX was terminated incorrectly. Apparently, pin 2 is actually TN 5 on the PBX. This is a Nortel part as well!!

I apologize for the confusion and thanks to everybody for your help!!
