Hi-

Anybody know a quick way to disable audible incoming rings on our main line and send calls right into our directory where callers can enter an extension number to ring individual extensions.

When ringing those indidvidual extensions I would also like to use the "soft ring" instead of the "beeeep" or "loud ring".

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

(get into voice mail and change the answer lines to 0.)then feature*6 for ring type and feature*80 for ring volume.

you need to get into system programming and take all the ringing off phones that ring or you will get a little half ring before it goes to voice mail.

12340000, Can you be a little more specific with the process on how to stop that half ring. What specifically do I need to do to stop that half ring everytime there in an incoming call? I have been looking for an answer on that issue for months now. Your input is greatly appreciated.

My question above is for anyone that can assist me...thank you all in advance

In phone system programing ,Go to Terminals&Sets->DN->Line access->line assignment->(remove all Ringing).Do this for each DN that rings. Good Luck!!

Do not forget you need to do that at each extension that rings and for each line that rings at that extension. Good Luck and you are Welcome!!

Thanks for all of your help. I had no idea such a community existed. StarTalk is pretty wild.
