I have a scheduled report that pulls patient data and creates a *.pdf document. I need to create a seperate file that contain only the Patient Name, Number, and Start date. Any ideas, suggestions or answers?

Create a new report that only has that info and export that as well.

Perhaps some 3rd party software can do what you need in some other way - try one of the ones listed here:

Look at Visual Cut to start, it has very powerful features.

Yes, the tool mentioned above can add to the exported pdf file Bookmarks and a Table of Contents (based on Crystal formulas acting as hidden tags) showing the desired info (Patient Name, Number, and Start date.

However, I agree with Turkbear - a second report would be the simplest approach.

hth,
- Ido

view, export, burst, email, and schedule Crystal Reports.

Would report bursting work? Any tips on report bursting?

I am using R-tag manager (from the same link). It runs a report against a list retrieved from the database then creates an index file and sends it by e-mail.
