Hi All,

I have got Solaris 9 installed on v210 system without graphic card on it so I guess I will have to go with "Xvfb: the X virtual frame buffer, a software-only Xserver, /usr/openwin/bin/Xvfb"

Can any one assist me on how to configure Xserver using Xvfb

Thanks

There are multiple user who would like to open GUI remotely.
Thats the reason I want to start Xserver.

If you can provide me with the thorough document link about the entire thing I will really be greatful.

Its something like where you have to xhost+, export your DISPLAY on remote server and then pull the GUI.

Any Idea..

Thanks

Sunny1504;

Check out this thread;

thread60-1141887 talks about realvnc which is free.

Also there are software tools that can be purchased like Exceed, Hummingbird etc..

Also if your end users have Sun workstations they could do a remote login from the cde login screen.

Also try a search in forum for VNC, Xwindows, there are quite a few different posts that may be interesting to you.

Thanks
