need to clone 2ed hard drive over

thread751-1241284 wolluf I whant to re clone 2ed hard drive as it is acting up and running slow,.Will i have to go though the same thing as i did in the thread above.will i have to edit the boot.ini I will be using Norton ghost. Thanks for your help the last time. xbill
 
Clarify please. Re clone 2nd drive from what? (the current 1st drive?). The stuff I wrote before would still obtain in this case (ie, need to boot the newly created clone on its own after cloning to establish its 'cdrive'). If the current in use boot sector (which includes boot.ini) is on the current 1st drive, that's all you should need to do.

Ie, clone. Boot clone on its own. Reconnect 1st drive - should still have your current boot menu, which should work.

If cloning regime is different, please explain.
 
I AM going to clone from the current 1st drive, the boot ini is still there, so i will do it the same as above. Thanks for the reply.
