need to change browse window default??

I would like the browse window to always open in "detail"
view when accessing something like "Start - Run - Browse"
or when going to "File - Open" in a program. Is there a
way to do this? Will this work in all of 98/ME/2K/XP?

set your view the way that you want it, and then go into the folder options. click on the view tab and click click button that says Like Current Folder.
It should stay after that.

I went to Start - Run - Browse, but could not find any folder options menu. Did I miss something?
