Need someone to test publish to my domain.

Hello,

My web host moved my account to a new machine and ever since then I am having trouble publishing to my URL with FP98.

Previously I could publish to

http://www.kardsbykathleen.com

and simply enter my username and pw.

Now attempting that causes a "server error"

The only way FP will publish now, is if I publish to my IP address, then define an FTP URL, followed by a directory path, and then enter my username and pw.

My host says they published just fine and the problem must be with my FP.

I am hoping I can find someone with a known good FP installation to publish a test file to:

http://www.kardsbykathleen.com

pw: taylor (and yes this will change once problem is solved)

I did not want to make too long of a post, but I can post the error, as well, if someone might recognise it.

Hi Vic,

I didn't do a publish, but did open live and was able to save text to test9.htm

Keep in mind, if I do a test publish, it will overwrite the content and then you will have to publish all to replace it.

Give me the go ahead, and I will do it tomorrow when I am awake.

Thx for your response.

I have not even been able to 'open live' using the sites URL.

The only way I can open or publish, is to use the IP address.

There is no content on the site so go ahead and publish something, it sounds like it will be successful, which means now I have to figure out whats wrong with my FP that it will only publish to the IP addy and not the URL.

I was able to publish to the site using FP2003 with no problems.

Ok so, I opened live and Bob published.

I think the next step would be to reinstall 98.

It doesn't look like an extension or server problem.
