Hi.. Need some clarification
Below is a print of my dial plan for lines/trunks
It only shows 13 TRK's listed...
Below that, there are 23 trunks in Pool 70

Are there actually 23 lines available for use or just 13?
Why are only 13 listed as TRK's ?

thanks

Well, You have a total of 35 Trunk Ports. 12 are Loop Start Lines (Like the one at your granny's house) and 23 are PRI, the ones that reside on the 100-D module. Now, how many LINES you have IN SERVICE depends on what you may or may not have plugged into the NON PRI ports. Things plugged in there could very well be active phone LINES, or maybe just extra wires or Music on Hold and/or Paging lines.

If nothing is plugged into them, then there's no line there.

The PRI (those 23) are in your 70 Pool, they can usually be used for dialing out with 9. Of course, they can also be used for incoming service as well.

That's it in a nutshell.

Thanks Merlinman..

it's a little confusing, as they are listed as LINE #1, LINE #2, etc.
and then 813 thru 825 are listed as LINES and shown as TRK's
Not sure why they would be shown differently. Are they just labels or something?

The default label for all 80 trunks is OUTSIDE, so whomever programmed the system chose those labels

That clears it up

thanks guys
